Similar to QSO Parties in the US, the RAC Winter Contest uses the format of RST and Province, rather than RST and County or State.

A new national youth association is seeking both youth
and adult members to join and help them get active!

The Amateur Cowboys Radio Club which was recently renamed to Amateur Radio Youth Association (Club) was founded by three young hams in Belen, New Mexico. The founders are Dustin Cox, N0DRC (Prev. KE5NKG), Jared Robbins, KE5LZV, and Phil Shaw, KE5LZX. Since November of 2007 the club has taken a new outlook on Amateur Radio and is now dedicating its self to the education of the general public and youth. The mission of the Amateur Radio Youth Assn (KE5RPV) is to further educate the public about the importance of Amateur Radio and to help students learn several middle school, and high school subjects through the use of Amateur Radio. The club is now seeking new members and also educators such as teachers and school board staff to join and help educate their youth today. As we all know the youth of today are our future! Anyone seeking more information about the Amateur Radio Youth Assn. you can visit their website at www.ke5rpv.org. To Join the club you can simply go the website listed above and click on the "Membership Application" tab on the left of the page. Dustin N0DRC the clubs Division Director says that anyone who wants to join will be welcomed weather you already have your ham radio license or not we would love to have you as a member. If you don't already have your ham radio license the club is willing to help you get it.
